The Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals (known as the Planning & Zoning Commission) consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor and Board of Trustees to five-year terms. The Planning & Zoning Commission conducts public hearings on all rezonings, special use permits, planned unit developments, zoning variations, sign variations, and zoning ordinance amendments as specified in Illinois Compiled State Statutes and Round Lake Beach Codes. Recommendations on all matters are forwarded to the Village Board for final action on items. The Planning & Zoning Commission meets regularly on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Village Hall chambers.
