Village of Round Lake Beach - Finance Department
Purpose
The Finance Department assures the safety and professional management of Village financial resources, by implementing legal and professional standards for local government financial reporting.
The Finance Department:
- Implements council policies, rules and regulations affecting financial activity
- Assists the Administrator in budget preparation
- Works with Village financial advisors regarding capital and debt management
- Works with other Village departments to administer fiscal resources
- Prepares and keeps all Village financial records
- Coordinates the accounting of financial activity
- Prepares monthly and annual fiscal reports, including the audit and treasurer’s reports
- Oversees the Village purchasing process
- Tracks Village cash flows

Water and Sewer Services
Water Deposit
- A deposit of $100.00 is required of every resident
- The deposit is not refundable until the property has changed ownership or tenancy and the final bill is paid in full
Bi-Monthly Billing Information for Water and Sewer Services
- Customers are billed for water and sewer every other month
- Lake Michigan water: $4.97 per 1,000 gallons
- Lake County sewage treatment: $3.31 per 1,000 gallons (based on consumption)
- Customer processing fee: $5.00 per month

Payment Options for Water & Sewer Services
- Payments can be made electronically with credit cards, bankcards or electronic check payments over the Internet through E-Pay. Click Here
- Payments can be made by mail using the return envelope provided
- Payments are accepted at the Village Hall during regular hours
- Payments are accepted at the Village Hall, after regular hours, by using the night deposit box located outside on the left side of the Village Hall entrance
- Payments may be made by Direct Debit.

Water Restrictions
Water restrictions go into effect to conserve water as part of State requirements for communities using Lake Michigan water effective annually on May 15th. Lawn sprinklers may be used between the hours of 6:00-9:00 AM and 6:00-9:00 PM daily. Restrictions do not apply to washing cars or handheld watering of gardens. Residents with newly sodded lawns can apply to the Community Development Department for a no-cost permit that allows additional watering hours. Water restrictions continue through September 15th. Persons violating this ordinance are subject to fine.
Important information for Residents that are Moving
Residents that are moving from their Round Lake Beach residence are required to schedule a meter inspection three weeks prior to the moving date. You must call Public Works at 847-546-8752 to schedule the inspection.
